Tocotrienol has 4 isoforms, namely, Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Gamma. In several studies, the Delta-Tocotrienol isoform has found to be the most potent when it comes to maximizing certain health benefits. Anticancer effects of Delta-Tocotrienols have been especially elucidated in several studies and against several types of cancer. The purest forms of Delta-Tocotrienols can be extracted from the Annatto plant.
Introduction to Colorectal Cancer and Delta-Tocotrienol
Colorectal cancer alone is the 3rd leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the US. It has been estimated by the American Cancer Society, that in 2020, the US alone will have 104,610 new cases of colon cancer and 43,340 new cases of rectal cancer! Fortunately, the death rate from this cancer has been dropping for several decades, as medical science evolves.
Cancer usually starts in the colon or the rectum and accordingly are named as colon or rectal cancers. These kinds of cancer start as a growth on the inner lining of the rectum or the colon and these growths are known as polyps. Although not all polyps turn into cancer, the risk remains.
In the past, studies of different types of cancers, have demonstrated anticancer effects of Delta-Tocotrienol but the anticancer effects of Delta-Tocotrienol were not fully demonstrated in colorectal cancer as focused studies were not performed. In this study, the anti-proliferative effects of Delta-Tocotrienols were observed both in vivo and in vitro studies. It was also been observed, that out of all the four isoforms of Tocotrienols, Delta-Tocotrienols demonstrated the most potent anticancer activities.

How does Delta-Tocotrienol fight Colorectal Cancer?
In this study, in vitro, the anti-proliferative effects of Tocotrienols in colon epithelial and stromal cells were investigated. And in vivo, the same effects were investigated in an induced colorectal cancer mouse model. All the isoforms of Tocotrienols were investigated for their ability to fight cancer, and it was observed that Delta-Tocotrienol exerted the most effective anti-proliferative properties on colon adenocarcinoma cells.
It was also observed that Delta-Tocotrienol was able to reduce the nitrite and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) concentrations in mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) and it was also able to stimulate the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and interferon γ. It was also observed that Delta-Tocotrienol enriched diet incredibly suppressed the tumor formation and growth in dextran sulfate sodium and azoxymethane treated mice.
The complete study suggested that at the molecular level, Delta-Tocotrienol enriched diet prevented colorectal cancer.
Suggested Usage:
EannattoDeltaGold Tocotrienol contains 90% Delta-Tocotrienol and 10% Gamma-Tocotrienol. One bottle of Eannatto Tocotrienols contains 125g, 60 gels. In studies, 400-900g of dosage of Tocotrienols, have been suggested by researchers for patients suffering from cancer.
Eannatto Tocotrienol has been derived from the Annatto plant, found in the Amazon which is 100% Tocopherol free. Also, Annatto contains 2x more Tocotrienols than Palm oil and 3x more Tocotrienols than rice bran oil.
